How it works
The sphere is covered in one million pixels. Each one costs £1 and covers exactly the same area of the surface, wherever it sits. Buy as many as you like — up to 20,000 in a single order — put your picture on them, and anyone who clicks your pixels goes to your website.
- 1
Choose your pixels
Press Start buying, then click and drag across the sphere to outline an area. Press Add these pixels to keep it and pick another area somewhere else — you can spread your pixels all over the sphere, or keep them together.
- 2
Decide how your picture sits
If you picked more than one area, tell us whether one picture should stretch across all of them, or the same picture should appear in each area on its own. Either way you'll see a preview of how it will look before you pay.
- 3
Add your picture and website
Upload an image and enter the website you want your pixels to link to. Both are required — the picture is what appears on the sphere, and the website is where people go when they click it.
- 4
Create your account and pay
When you press Checkout you'll be asked to create an account with your email, full legal name and password, if you don't have one already. Then pay by card — £1 for every pixel, so the price is simply the number of pixels you picked.
- 5
Your pixels are held while you pay
When you open the payment form, your pixels are held for you for up to 7 minutes so nobody else can buy them. Picking pixels doesn't hold them, so if someone else reaches payment first, you'll be told the order is no longer available before you pay, and you can choose different pixels.
- 6
Reserved, then live
Right after payment your pixels are allocated to your order and turn yellow with RESERVED on them. My Account shows Pending approval. Immediate supply means this reservation — your business does not appear immediately. Allow up to 72 hours for each submission or re-submission to be reviewed. Your picture or logo, business name and website are all checked; any of them can cause rejection, including a missing, non-working or apparently malicious website.
- 7
Approved: your business goes live
Approval covers your picture or logo, business name and website together. Only then does your picture replace the reserved label and link to your website. Reasonable checks are made beforehand to confirm the website exists, but approval is not an endorsement or a safety guarantee. External website owners remain responsible for their content, including changes after approval, subject to legal responsibilities that cannot be excluded.
Good to know
- If a picture is rejected you'll be told the reason and can upload a new one. But if uploads repeatedly break our terms and conditions, the order may be cancelled with no refund and the pixels become available for someone else.
- Your pixels stay yours. Your account shows your orders and their progress.
- Payments are handled securely by our payment provider, and your bank statement may show LINK.COM*.
